WHAT YOU'LL MAKE

Half Day/ Morning session — Pattern + Print

2 hours

Start by creating your own printing stamp inspired by Australian flora and fauna. Choose from available templates or bring your own design idea.

Using easy-to-carve rubber and lino-cutting tools, you'll learn how to transfer and carve a simple motif, ink your stamp and experiment with colour, layout and repeat patterns.

Then the fun begins!

Explore Fi's collection of handmade and ready-made stamps alongside your own, building layers, playing with different marks and discovering how individual motifs can become beautiful unique, patterned surfaces.

You'll create your own hand-printed papers, perfect for gift wrapping, collage, cards, art projects and other creative projects.

You'll also explore ways to adapt your stamp-making skills for swing tags, business branding, monoprints and other printed surfaces.

Best of all, you take your handmade stamp home so you can keep creating and you'll know what you need to  before you make any unnecessary or expensive purchases.

Full Day /Extend into the Afternoon — Textile Printing

2.5 hours | 12.30–3 pm

Ready to take your pattern beyond paper?

Spend the afternoon experimenting with textile printing. Learn how to transfer your designs onto fabric using textile paints, printing tools and a selection of mark-making materials.

Print your own design onto a supplied linen/cotton-blend tea towel, or bring a T-shirt, shirt or piece of fabric you'd love to transform.

Discover how your handmade patterns can become wearable art, unique homewares or thoughtful handmade gifts.

The afternoon session is available as an extension of the morning workshop.

For private bookings, the minimum group size is four, with a maximum of six participants. Your group organiser receives a single booking link to share with everyone.

Make a day of it, bring your own lunch and enjoy a relaxed creative escape together.

IS THIS WORKSHOP FOR YOU?

Absolutely! Beginners are welcome, and no previous art or printmaking experience is needed.

You'll need to be able to follow instructions in English and have the eyesight and physical dexterity needed to work safely with stamp-carving tools.

We want our workshops to be as accessible as possible. If you have any physical requirements or constraints, please let us know beforehand so we can discuss adjustments. Our small group sizes mean there's plenty of opportunity for individual guidance and support.

YOUR CREATIVE ESCAPE AT TOOT STUDIO

Toot Studio is a light-filled creative space inside a converted hay shed at Toot Farm, just three minutes south of Margaret River townsite.

Come for the making, stay for delightful discoveries  and leave with new skills, fresh ideas and something handmade that's entirely your own.

For private groups, BYO catering and drinks to enjoy in the garden at the end of your session.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Our workshops are small, hands-on experiences that require advance preparation and materials. Thank you for understanding our cancellation policy.

• Bookings close seven days before the workshop. If minimum numbers aren't reached, we'll offer a full refund or credit towards an alternative date.

• Cancellations more than 14 days before the workshop: please contact us to discuss your options.

• Cancellations within 14 days: a $50 administration fee applies.

• Cancellations within seven days: no refunds are available. If we can resell your place from a waiting list, we may be able to refund your booking less the administration fee.

• Private group bookings: the minimum group charge still applies if individual participants withdraw or group numbers decrease.

• If Toot Studio cancels: you'll receive a full refund and a complimentary gift voucher.
