Kids Workshop - Piles of Pooches - Pet Portraits
Dog lovers!
Bring a photo of your Dog and create a pooch portrait.
What we do:
Using your own dog (or one of ours) as inspiration, select the textures, colours, shapes and favourite things to bring your fur friend alive in painted paper collage with a unique decorated frame, ready to hang or gift.
Everything is supplied and you will be able to follow Fi's step by step design process, to create your own unique paper collage illustration.
Painted paper collage is a really playful and accessible medium. Fi will give you the tips on how to create great illustrations of those you love- friends, family, other pets ! Learn about illustration and about what makes a great design.
Tare home your new skills - and keep creating!
The group size is kept small so you will have plenty of opportunity to work with Fi if you need it - this is an activity for those that love to create and want to learn more about how to develop their skills.

You will need :
byo water bottle and snacks ( creating can be hungry work)

If you don’t have a dog - no problem - we’ve got lots of inspiration here.
byo Photo reference: bring a selection of photo images of the same hound, see if you can bring one showing a pose or setting that you’re like to use to copy - also helpful are images showing colours and markings and size of your doggo. We will only guarantee being able to create one pooch in the time frame.
Age and learning: Depending on the age of your participant we will discuss art and design and illustration - creating a character, building stories around our character.

Everything is taken care of for you so you can just show up and take home something that is ready to gift or hang.
No prior art skills are required you just need an ability to follow instructions in English and the physical dexterity and eyesight to use scissors and glue.

SMALL GROUPS LOGISTICS: Booking terms and conditions
Small group sessions for these dates have a limit of 6 people per session . Events are not confirmed until we have a mim of 4 confirmed for the session. In the event this min number is not reached the session will be cancelled or rescheduled with a minimum of 48 hours prior notice and a full refund given.

Due to small group logistics/ advance preparation and limited resources we have strict cancellation policies-
We appreciate your understanding.
$50 admin fee for late cancellations / less than 48 hours prior to date. Sorry no refund for cancellations less than 24 hours in advance.
Please do not attend if you are unwell.
If Toot Studio needs to cancel a full refund and a complimentary gift voucher will be issued in apology.
Working with children check is in place.
Fi's workshops are designed to be accessible for participants of various abilities and levels of experience.
If you have 4 people that would like to attend you can select a date to suit you. We usually need 2 - 4 weeks advance booking. If a date already exists, you are welcome to join the group if there is space available. If you would like to hear about workshop availability please join our mailing list and keep an eye out on social media channels.
For larger groups or groups in special locations, Fi is happy to design a workshop for your group, this might be suited to a theme or personal ability. Yes we can travel to you. Price on application.
Fi's art experiences are designed to give you a positive and confidence building outcome while introducing you to techniques that you will be able to continue to work with independently. Everything is included unless otherwise stated - no expensive materials lists or purchases to make. They are known for being low stress, joyful occasions and a great way to spend time with a group of friends or family.
We offer workshops for groups of 4 to 8 people at Toot Studio in Margaret River, or 16 people in larger spaces. The number of participants may affect the duration of the workshop. Larger school group sessions will require additional studio assistants to be present (class teachers).
