In this 4 hour workshop event we create a pair of loved up Pink and Grey Galahs, nestled together inside their frame, surrounded by your own choice of botanical patterned backdrop.
Framed and ready to hang this 35x35cm project can also be framed up to 50x50cm with the purchase of an additional ikea frame. ( please pre purchase and bring it with you :) from Ikea Sannaed 50x50cm frame)
Everything else is supplied - just BYO lunch and water bottle.
WHO IS THIS FOR?
Created for those previous workshop participants (and Black Cockatoo lovers ) who want to come back for more - we’ve added some additional techniques to this project to introduce you to different ways to layer, arrange and build pattern. More details, more options, more birds!
This project involves a little more time than the shorter sessions - but for this reason, it is best suited to those with some previous experience from one of Fi’s short sessions, but as always, enthusiastic beginners are most welcome.
To save you time and energy, you’ll choose from our large collection of pre prepared, hand painted papers - you’ll decide on your own colour variations, creating a unique piece.
Using a combination of free hand cutting and template guides you can also choose from a variety of compositional options.
As always, Fi is on hand to help secure you with a great outcome and something you’ll be proud to take home.

We need a min of 4 participants to confirm this workshop - feel free to request a special date for your own group of 2 (additional $50pp surcharge for a private session ) .

WHO THIS IS FOR:
Fi’s workshops allow time out to experience the joy of a calming but also stimulating creative experience.
Fi is a professional exhibiting artist and teacher who is inspired by WA s natural world. Her classes are designed for those who might not ordinarily take an art class and with that in mind she has created an accessible, no stress, inspiring program to build creative confidence, skills, enthusiasm and a deeper appreciation for the world around us.
There is no wrong way - we love wonky and - and Fi is on hand to help when and where needed.
IS THIS FOR YOU?
This is a follow along step by step collage workshop.
No advanced skills are required, all the tricky bits are supported and taken care of for you, you just need an ability to follow instructions in English and the physical dexterity and eyesight to use scissors and glue.
**We aim to make this workshop as accessible as possible so if you have any physical constraints please let us know in advance and we can tweak the workshop for you.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
This project is completed in the time allocated because we have streamlined the usual process and organised your materials in advance.
If you would like to learn more about colour mixing - printing and texture creation and composition for successful design, we would advise that you instead - book into the Beginners Collage Course -a full day course where you will create a piece from the start, learn about colour mixing tricks and create all your own papers to use. It too is inspired by one of Fi's designs. (You'll find three options to choose from on the day). See listing for this course.

We appreciate your understanding.
$50 admin fee for late cancellations / less than 7 days prior to date. IF WE CAN REFUND YOU YOUR TICKET FROM A WAITLIST WE WILL REFUND YOU THE FULL AMOUNT MINUS ADMIN FEE. Sorry no refund for cancellations less than 48 hours in advance.

Fi's workshops are designed to be accessible for participants of various abilities and levels of experience.
If you have 4 people that would like to attend you can select a date to suit you. We usually need 2 - 4 weeks advance booking. If a date already exists, you are welcome to join the group if there is space available. If you would like to hear about workshop availability please join our mailing list and keep an eye out on social media channels.
For larger groups or groups in special locations, Fi is happy to design a workshop for your group, this might be suited to a theme or personal ability. Yes we can travel to you. Price on application.
Fi's art experiences are designed to give you a positive and confidence building outcome while introducing you to techniques that you will be able to continue to work with independently. Everything is included unless otherwise stated - no expensive materials lists or purchases to make. They are known for being low stress, joyful occasions and a great way to spend time with a group of friends or family.
We offer workshops for groups of 4 to 8 people at Toot Studio in Margaret River, or 16 people in larger spaces. The number of participants may affect the duration of the workshop. Larger school group sessions will require additional studio assistants to be present (class teachers).
