ABOUT FI AND HER EXPERIENCE:

Fi is a Margaret River Artist who loves sharing, and developing creative thinking across communities both urban and rural . She has been designing and sharing and teaching workshops in painting and collage for over 10 years. Her work is often used by primary school teachers as inspiration in art classes in many places around the globe.

This exhibition is all about looking at Western Australia’s unique environments and its animal inhabitants and illustrating the stories we find there. These  workshop sessions are a unique opportunity to bring isolated communities  in contact with a self motivated professional artist and illustrator, to learn about design and character creation and turning our ideas into visual realities.

This is a travelling exhibition and we hope to take it on the road and go further around the regions. Learning about endemic species and communities as we go.

Her work has recently be acquired by the Hilton Hotel chain for exhibition in their new hotel in Busselton and John Sands Cards for use with the Variety Club. She is represented by Linton and Kay Galleries in Perth and has been a regular participant and past committee member of Margaret River Open Studios over the past 10 years.

Fi has also been proud to work with the the Art Gallery of Western Australia holiday education program.
