Series : Wander Out Yonder

Baudins Black Cockatoo and Xanthorrhoea

"The Black Cockatoo population in WA is under threat. Forests have disappeared and many birds are now living in increasingly small areas within and around the city.  Trapped due to the missing feeding corridors they once enjoyed. These birds need more habitat and protection and one of the small roles we can all play is to be more aware of their needs and nature, drive carefully where we see them near roads and keep planting native gardens. Hakea, Grevillea and Banksia are their favourite food plants.
The award winning film Black Cockatoo Crisis, made by local South West filmmaker Jane Hammond has really inspired and moved me.  Her passion for telling their story and engaging others in its sharing is wonderful to witness. I'm trying to take a leaf from her book and do the same here. I encourage everyone to take a look at the film if you can”.

Wander Out Yonder Series: This series has been created using painted paper collage. Fi first creates a mixture of colours and textured papers and then hand cuts the shapes, free hand, constructing the subjects from memory and sketchbook observations. She uses reference book photographs to correctly observe the birds she is studying.  The original images are photographed and then reproduced.

Our print and photographic partners  are locally owned and operated and support the highest quality product philosophy.

We use only high quality archival inks, some times known as Giclee prints and Canson fine art papers and canvas.

Custom sizes may be available in addition to sizes listed but it depends on the size of the original art work and the size of the digital file. Please enquire.

If you order your print on canvas, you will need to have it stretched and framed at your local picture framers. The surface has already been treated with a UV coating for extra protection. Your canvas will be rolled and posted to you.

A limited number are produced of between 20 and 200. These are produced on request. Each one is signed and numbered by hand. This is visible on the lower edge on the paper print, but is on the edge of the canvas and will not be visible when stretched.

Reproductions are NOT created in canvas at the same size as the original painting.

Each print is supplied with its own matching print certificate.

Prints over 50 cm in measurement are large format prints and are signed and come with a print certificate. Canvas prints are signed on the back .Smaller prints are not signed.

To facilitate stretching a boarder of plain canvas, or black canvas (on the Still @ Home series) is added to the image edge.

The paper prints measurements are given as image size and paper size in case you wish to have a larger space around your image before a mount window is laid on top.

Sizes shown in room setting images are for illustrative purposes only /not necessarily to scale.

Please check sizes with a tape measure before ordering, remembering that the framing you select will add to the size.

All prints are delivered to our studio where they are then checked and packed ready for postage.

All prints are carefully wrapped and rolled and protected and packed in a protective postage tube.

Postage including insurance within Australia is included in your purchase.
