Title: Savouring The Day I.
This is a special release as part of my exhibition in 2024.
Medium: Unique limited edition of 10, giclee and collage fine art prints.
( currently 8 from 10 available. )
Series: Paper Stories
Fi has been using painted paper collage to illustrate stories while she works on a childrens book.
This is an image celebrating the community of swimmers and their dogs at Gracetown, Cowaramup Bay, Margaret River.
"We were very fortunate to be picked up by the The 'Red Rockers'( they swim to the red rock at North Point) as part of their group early in 2023. The joy of being part of a community of very diverse and joyful people every morning of the year, even in the depth of winter, has brought untold happiness".
Cold water ocean swimming, meeting and greeting, getting changed in the wind and rain and always coffee together afterwards. Dog sitting duties, neighbourly sharing of eggs, lemons, cakes and ups and downs, mental health support and joke telling. A group of random strangers who become a close community during covid. No fees to pay, no rules or expectations. Offering yourself up to be part of something that you can contribute to with just a friendly smile. Mutual respect and allowing.
