Boranup Burst I
Series : Triptychs
"Boranup Forest is a must visit location - a breathtaking place. Sadly it had the misfortune of being exposed to a massive blaze in December 2021, after which I visited several times to draw, paint, photograph and watch the forest slowly come back to life. After devastation, there is the regrowth, its actually incredibly healing to embrace this stage and see how nature brings order to itself again after the chaos caused by wildfire. The number of grass trees that immediately strung into action - less than a week after it seemed, impressed everyone. Who imagined so many. The flower spikes they sent up brought the insects back and then the birds - I hate what fire does but I love being able to see the undulation of the land, the trees shapes and the nuts from hakea, banksia and such, spilling seeds everywhere having been bullied into splitting open under the heat".
Bird Species: Western Spinebill.
Original painting was made over three separate canvas.
Also available as a composite image (3 images stitched together on one canvas or paper, requiring one stretcher or one frame)

Each print is supplied with its own matching print certificate.
