Beginners session - develop your skills over 3 classes, or attend a single session.
These sessions are for those just beginning their life drawing practice.

There is a discount offered for all three sessions - 3 sessions will develop your skills, give you time to explore more materials and techniques and build some routine for you to track your improvement.
Class numbers are strictly limited.
All art materials and easel included.
These sessions will use a life model.
No experience required.
Life drawing is a quiet, contemplative kind of activity, great for building mindfulness and developing our observational skills. We learn that this practice has huge benefits for our skills in other areas or our creativity and our life. Slowing ourselves down and building our abilities to focus.
During these sessions we will learn about :
different art materials - you will have access to a variety of materials over the three sessions.
drawing techniques commonly used when illustrating the human form. How to draw what you see.
Traditions around life drawing. How a life drawing session runs, process and developing your practice.
Understanding the structure of the human form.
Please note this is a class designed to give you the fundamental skills and information to attend life drawing group sessions where there is no teaching support.

Art Materials:
Over 3 sessions - You are welcome to BYO materials to work with or bring nothing and play with ours.
We will supply some basic materials for those beginning - charcoal, butchers paper, pencils and pastels.
we will also experiment with different kinds of papers, wet and dry materials.
There are easels available, sit or stand - its up to you.
This is a respectful and private event created for those genuinely interested in life art. There will be zero tolerance of inappropriate behaviour or behaviour that causes discomfort for others. No photography or recording without permission.
BYO refeshments.
Location: 7 Wilkes Road, 3 mins south of Town Center of Margaret River. Opposite side of the Highway from Yahava/ Burger Baby.
Missed class: due to limited space and equipment, model hire and set up these sessions are non transferable.
Fi's workshops are designed to be accessible for participants of various abilities and levels of experience.
If you have 4 people that would like to attend you can select a date to suit you. We usually need 2 - 4 weeks advance booking. If a date already exists, you are welcome to join the group if there is space available. If you would like to hear about workshop availability please join our mailing list and keep an eye out on social media channels.
For larger groups or groups in special locations, Fi is happy to design a workshop for your group, this might be suited to a theme or personal ability. Yes we can travel to you. Price on application.
Fi's art experiences are designed to give you a positive and confidence building outcome while introducing you to techniques that you will be able to continue to work with independently. Everything is included unless otherwise stated - no expensive materials lists or purchases to make. They are known for being low stress, joyful occasions and a great way to spend time with a group of friends or family.
We offer workshops for groups of 4 to 8 people at Toot Studio in Margaret River, or 16 people in larger spaces. The number of participants may affect the duration of the workshop. Larger school group sessions will require additional studio assistants to be present (class teachers).
